Philips 32pw8422 turns itself off...

Hi everyone
I own a Philips 32pw8422 CRT TV. I calibrated the picture, brightness and colors yesterday using Avia. When I was done, I calibrated the geometry of the tv using the service menu you access with the remote, to fix an overscan issue, I was missing fairly large chunks of image on both sides of the TV while in widescreen mode.
I managed to calibrate the geometry with no problems. After that, I put the remote down and began looking through some papers, but I didn't realize that I accidentaly moved my leg on top of the remote. I accidentaly pressed the "right" button on the remote, and I hadn't exited the geometry calibration menu on the tv, so the image began to stretch and stretch. After I realized what was happening, I couldn't move my leg in time and suddenly the TV turned itself off. I tried turning it back on but it only stays on for like half a second, then it shuts itself down again.
If I unplug the tv for a few seconds, and then plug it back, it does turn on and stays that way. Needless to say, the image is horribly stretched, and the TV is always in SDM mode. From what I manage to read, it displays error code 1, which is an "X-Ray / Over-Voltage protection" error. If I try entering SAM so that I can fix the geometry, then the TV shuts off after a few seconds, and I have to unplug it to turn it back on. I even tried clearing the error memory on the brief window of time that the SAM menu is displayed, and although I can quickly read the word "cleared" on the screen, and turn it off with the controller to save the changes on SAM mode, the problem isn't solved. Maybe I am not turning it off with the remote and the TV is simply shutting down, I guess the error isn't cleared this way.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to think that this isn't really that serious, since the error code description leads me to think that the TV is in some sort of protection mode and it somehow needs to be reset. Anyway, I hope you can help me.
Thank you everyone in advance.
