9 blinks = "Supply fault"

That's what I thought because I read some YouTube videos and they all said the same thing, power supply fault.

I ordered another power supply board which arrived today but the board is faulty because nothing happens when I fit it.

Do you know which component might be faulty on the board with 9 blinks?

Have at it:

Oops, this should narrow it down a bit, but check earlier against PS board number.

Error 9 (Supply fault). When this error occurs, the TV set
shutdown in protection mode and follow with the Error
blinking. This error will point to a hardware problem around
the DC/DC 3V3_1V2 (B02A) probably the CLASS D
amplifier output cause the "SUPPLY FAULT" (B10A) line
activated.

• The SUPPLY-FAULT signal (active low) is an internal
protection (error 9) of the DC-DC convertor and will occur
if the output voltage of any DC-DC convertor is out of limits
(10% of the normal value).

Re: [askpin] Philips 47pfl7603d /10 TV no power [In reply to] Can't Post

From a quick skim through manual, I believe they are saying that it either has a problem in and/or around the CLASS D amplifier output (7D10) OR in and/or around the DC/DC 3.3 volt /1.2 volt DC-DC converter area (7U0A). Although they did print 'will occur if the output voltage of any DC-DC convertor is out of limits (10% of the normal value)'.

You ARE aware the YOU will have to do the actual testing to locate the defective component(s)? It's not gonna be as simple as removing a 6GH8 tube, testing it at your local drug store, purchasing one and plugging it back into its socket?

hope this will help u been a tech for 30 yrs this chassis is service friendly u will need good soldering skills and a dvm. ur description indicates tv is in shutdown this will protect ur circuitry. first u need to see which protect is in shutdown. there are 3 (protect1,2,3)if u look on the main power board u will see jumpers they look like staples they are listed if u need pic just reply no problem. now put ur neg to secondary gnd plug the tv in. red to protect 1 should be high (2.0v+)then red to protect2 should be low(.7- or 0v)then red to protect3 shou;d be high these three conditions must be met for the tv to power up regardless what board is shuttin it down start there and post the results this will also indicate what board is faulty.
