Sure it was a CAT?

Thats what he/she said!!!

Later...Ron.M....Cool.... This is all i'm seeing for post #5. I have a scroll bar on the right to move up/down but no bar at bottom to scroll left or right. I remember once I posted a large format picture and the column from that point on was almost twice as wide as normal, but it was corrected by the next time I logged on.

IF you look down in the FAR left corner,it's there....BUT its an itty-bitty little piece of what is normally there....

This is going to be fun ???

I still do NOT see (on my screen) what you are observing.
Maybe post a picture of your screen?

There is no problem here, screen is correct size so might pay you to do a virus check . Get windows defender if you use Windows and try installing that, if you have a virus or a nasty it will tell you You can not install this due to the type of processor you have, that tells you you have a nasty as thats BS I had that and took me a month to kill it, once I did windows defender loaded fine.

Last night while fighting a BAD cold , I tried to reply in a PM to you....
Each time I tried to send it to you , my screen went WHACKO...
After 3 attempts to send it , things got worse...
I lost the "blinking" "|" where you type...
Also could NOT copy & paste....

Finally I said;..And logged off....When I logged off , my desktop looked like something from outer space...I'm going to PM you with my normal desktop & the screwed up desktop.... Then I went to rest up & fight this "GD" cold....
Today I scanned my computer with Avast! (Clean,NO problems) & SpyBot (Also Clean)..
I noticed that on my computer programs that ALL is well..I could copy & paste & the blinking "|" is there....
SOOooo,I tried to Reset IE-7....NO help....
Then I Re-installed IE-7 & Ta-Da , It works fine....
All the threads in this forum ARE fine.....
SOOooo, my computer WAS the problem...NOT TV-Forums....

BTW:...Windows Defender is a piece of crap...
I have Avast! (Active),SpyBot (Inactive),& MalwareBytes AntiMalware (Inactive)...
I am VERY well protected from viruses,trojans,etc....
WinDef is NOT at all effective & for me a bear to update...

So this problem of mine is history...

When I had my trojun or whatever it was the virus scanner didnt find it, nothing did and I had the same heap of crap as you. What did get it was an upgrade to windows. These viruses and the like today are smart, if it gets in it beat your virus system so its not going to be found by that. A few years back I lost my hard drive with an Ebay scam virus. It managed to write itself into the flash files of the hard drive so the only way was to send it back to makers and that wasnt on. But Im sure Ron you will do as you will do.

Wellllll, much to "xxxxxx's" chagrin, I'm VERY much alive & getting healthier....
What a bad bug I personally had...
6 days of being almost totally incapacitated...
Took my meds the "VA" gave me & slowly but surely came back to reality...
Checked in here from time to time & saw NO reason to comment on worthless posts by "xxxxxx" who obviously doesn't know squat about computer viruses, trojans , etc.....

jts1957;....
Just to refresh you & others ,the problem WAS MY computer....
Turns out something went south in IE-7....
Have you had a chance to check into that screen shot I PM'd you ????
I REALLY would like to know what that is & what went wrong....
Have you contacted your friend yet ???

Finally for now:...
MANY , MANY THANKS for all your cards ,Best wishes & prayers....
But despite all your requests,I'm coming back anyways.....

Re: [Ron.M] Philips TV repair questions [In reply to] Can't Post

Good to see you back to your snappy self Ron, As stated I had similar and Windows defender found it. It was a Trojan, Zoot something or other in IE7. I could clean up but it backed itself up from windows backup. The file itself was not visable as Zoot and each time I thought I had it cleaned, after a few days it popped back again. I have all the virus stuff as protection, nothing found it and I have no idea where it came from. So do I know about Viruses etc, I build my own computers and do all the setups etc. OK my doss aint as good as it used to be but Ive been in computers for a long time, almost as long as Bill.

Ever tried Ubuntu- a user friendly up to date Linux operating system- immune to viruses etc- free to anyone- Google for free download or posted by mail cd- when you instal can still have win or Ub as op system- select on every bootup. Have heard nothing but praise from users.
