Hi I would like to thank everyone in advance for their help and input. I replaced tcon board on Philips lcd tv 40PFL3705D/F7. Tcon board part # RUNTK4323TPZZ. Tcon was replaced for a no picture only sound issue. After replacing the tcon i have picture and sound. However the one half of tv screen has vertical lines with picture, other side has full picture. I swapped the ribbon cables that connect tcon board to lcd board. No change still vertical lines. I even wiggled lvds cables and lines to do not react and stay. I even checked ribbon cables that connect the lcd board to screen and it has no affect on the vertical lines. So I am wondering if the new tcon board could be the problem or if it is the lcd panel itself. Any other testing or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You!! Still No Picture Only Sound with Original board?

Hi yes with original t con board i had no picture black screen(with working backlight) only sound. Then replaced the t con board and got picture and sound but picture had vertical lines. Thank you

And when you REINSTALLED the Original Tcon board, you were back to the starting symptom?

original problem was no picture no lines, only sound. replaced tcon board with new board, now have picture with lines and still have sound. so took out replacement board put in original board and have original symptoms of no picture, no lines and have sound

Unless 100% certain replacement was a 'NEW' board, it too could be bad. Otherwise panel.

So is there a way to test without buying a new t con board? Can a bad panel cause tcon board to break? I believe at first the lines were not there and picture was not normal and kinda solorized. This was brief and I had helper watching. So wondered if there's a way to test anything?

Board either good or bad. Shop Jimmy has kit for one common failure of board.
