Phillips LVDS cable for 42" LCD tv

Have a Philips LCD set model 42PF9730A/37B - 2 yrs old. The local Philips approved repair shop tells me that I need to replace in internal LVDS cable - part # 312278590731 or 312278590662 - Low Voltage Directional Signal Cable. I was also told that according to his contacts at Philips, this part is no longer available. Does anyone have any ideas where I could locate this part? As an alternative, does anyone have any ideas as to any other ways to use an alterative cable, etc.
