Please HELP Hitachi 37" Tv flashing red, green and blue!!!	Can't Post

Hi all, i left my 37" Hitachi tv on all night, when i woke i switched it off then later on that day when i come to turn it on again the screen went completely red, then green, then blue. (not sure if that's the right order) It seems to be stuck in this mode too, i tried pressing buttons, checking cables and even removing them and still the same. i unplugged it completely from the wall and tv and still the same. i even left it unplugged for 2 or more days and still the same. when i plug it back in and turn on the power switch (not the switch to turn the telly on itself) it exits standby mode which it would usually stay in and starts the colour sequence over and over again, i even let it do that for over 3 hours, it just keeps going and going and going.

any help is appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Can you give us a model # and Chassis # this info should be written on a label on the back of the set.

Try a reset of the NVM Non-Volitile Memory. You can do this by entering the service mode by first pressing MENU on the remote then 4725 in that order you should then be in the service menu you then press the green button on the remote this will reset the memory, wait for at least 30 seconds.

When you reboot the set all previous settings will be lost and will all have to be re-done again
