Please help me fix my Samsung!

Hi! My parents were going to throw out their Samsung LN-T3253H 32 in. tv because they had audio but no picture. The back light is clearly on and, in doing research, i learned it is likely a faulty T-Con card. I got one and replaced it and didn't work. I figured maybe it was the card. I got another and was assured the card worked yet when i installed it, the problem persisted.
You turn the tv on and the screen stays dark but you can hear what's on and even change the channel and hear other stations. I'm just an amateur and don't have anything to test voltage, but if anyone has heard of this issue or can give me an idea of what i should do, i would be incredibly grateful. Thanks in advance!
