Probox2 Android media player problems with Sony KV-34HS510

Today, I got the Probox2 Android media player as a Christmas gift and it worked fine on a couple LCD TVs I tried it on. As a gift, I also recieved an HDMI to HDMI and RCA audio box to use with the Sony TV, which has DVI and L+R audio. I set the Probox to 1080i and brought it to the TV I wanted to use. Plugged the adapter into the TV, plugged the Probox into the adapter, turned on the TV, and just as I anticipated, nothing at all. What's the issue here?
