RCA 52" foggy pictue

I really would like to know what I'm getting myself into. My 52" RCA rear projection T.V. has
what looks to be a reddish fog all over.It seems to get considerably worse as the set
heats up. It started acting up a few weeks ago and you could see red horizontal lines across the screen
...then I adjusted the bias...I turned the red completely to the left and the blue and green as far right as they would go.
this got rid of the lines but now it looks like I'm trying to look through fog to see the picture. Any indication of what I
have to replace?
