RCA F27732SB TV Blows Fuse Can't Post

Hi everyone,

I have recently encountered a problem with my RCA 27" TV. The TV blows the fuse every time it is plugged in. I am unable to do voltage tests as there is NO power. I believe the problem is within the first few components (filter capacitor, diodes, chopper transistor, etc).

Can someone direct me to the right direction of which are the most likely failed components?

Thank you

P.S. THE CHASSIS IS: CTC169CK5

I do not have a schematic for that specific model but I believe the problem would be one of CR4001 thru CR4004 is shorted.

Ok
I have tested all 4 rectifier diodes and I get forward voltage drop for all 4 diodes. That included 2 reading for each diode. I guess I have all 4 diodes shorted.

have you removed the degaussing thermistor , they sometimes break up inside and go s/c hence fuse bang

CHECK/REPLACE F4001 AND C4007 CHECK/REPLACE Q4101 (P/N# 200165) AND U4101 (P/N# 200419)

Thanks
I will test the chopper transistor and HOT to determine how bad is the short.
Also I found another bad diode near the chopper transformer. Hmmmmm
