Remote stopped working Can't Post

Hello,

I have a Symphonic TV/VCR combo. mod#SC319B.

The remote stopped working on it. Every thing seems to work fine from the buttons on the TV itself.

I replaced the batteries with new ones, nothing! Tried different batts. still nothing.

I bought a universal remote. Nothing.

Bought another, different brand, uni remote still nothing.

Is there a fix for this anoying problem?

Would it even be worth it to take it to a repair shop?

Thank You.

I tried several codes,

One remote even had an auto code search feature.

heres a neet trick most people dont think about, many people have video cameras and camera phones, try this aim your remote at the camera while watching the remotes transmit end thru the view finder hit some buttons, most all cameras can see this infered light comming out the end, this elimnates the need for a IR tester

Since you have tried several remotes, it is probably a good bet that the problem lies within the TV itself. It could be the infra red sensor or in the microprocessor. I am not a big fan of Symphonic but repair or replace is a decision you will have to make but I would recommend against another combo unit and go for a GOOD name brand. You might want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
