Remote's sensor on TV not sensing Can't Post

I have this Symphonic 8-19 wm TV, the remote used to work before, now it no longer does. I replaced the remote with a generic remote, it works on my other TV's so I don't beleave that the problem is either remote. I feel in front of the TV under the plastic a little indentation I suppose this is the recieving sensor. Any Ideas on what I should do to make this little sukka able to function with the remote? Please help, cause it's so much nicer if I don't havce to get up to change the channel or volume, ya know what I mean? HELP

Wink Tell you what, Just try getting a Sw radio and putting it on to the far side of the band and point the remote at the antena push a button and if it makes a sound there is a good chance that the remote is working- this may help you to narrow it down
