I have A Samsung TV which I purchased from Dubai. I paid custom duty in India at the airport. Recently, I had a problem with the TV. I called their call Centre for repairs and today an engineer called me. He asked me the source of purchase and I told him He informed for any TV purchased outside India I have to pay an additional service charge of Rs. 5,000/- I asked him the reason for it and he told me it is a company rule. I am shocked to know this. Is it an offence to buy a TV from outside India? This is how multinationals cheat the people. As if Samsung Dubai is an alien. Please be warned and avoid buying products of such companies
