Is the standby light blinking or is the set completely dead?

No blinks at all indicates a problem in the standby power section which is quite complex and could involve a failure from a fusible resistor to a transistor or a power module. Only a qualified tech with the proper test equipment can say for sure thru hands on troubleshooting. Incidentally, I believe that the model number should be KV-32TS36 since I do not show an "ST" number in my files. You might want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.

Without knowing which and/or how many parts need to be replaced an estimate would be difficult. Around here, you are looking at at least $65 for a bench check. Being pessimestic, I wouldn't count on it being less the in the $100 to $150 range if that low

My troubleshooting notes require the use of an oscilloscope, but I have found that this problem usually involves the 3.58MHZ crystal or the jungle IC.
