Hello all.....newbie here...all help appreciated.
SONY KDL 40RD 453 TV.
Had this in the spare room for a while and decided to get it out today......it was fine when we put it away.
New batteries in remote. Tried to get it on using a Sky input. Initially the Sony logo appeared on the screen and
then......nothing. No sound, no background and a very, very pale screen...just about on. I have tried various methods to bring it out of what appears to be a stand by state . Mains plug in and out, turning it on with the switch on the set and via the remote.....nothing. Holding the Home button and the Up button does nothing. Occasionally when turning it on it shows the input in the top left corner but this stays on under 2 seconds.
Help !!
