SONY TV component input problem

Hello,
I have a SONY Wega KV 32FV15 non-progressive capable television which works perfectly save one glitch:
-when I use the component input while playing a movie on DVD some horizontal discoloration lines appear (on the full width of the screen) especially on frames rich in red
I do not have this problem while using any other input with the same DVD player (i.e. SVideo and/or RCA). I have tested my player on another TV with different component cables and this did not occur. I also used a different DVD player on my TV and the same glitch appeared. Hence I draw the conclusion that is something wrong along the component input of my TV.
Any help would be enormously appreciated.
