STK4277 Chip Help

I have a pioneer SD-P4053 that has a STK4279 chip thats bad i looked around and found a Sanyo and a Pioneer chip with the same STK4279 number Does any one know if there is any different with then or will the sanyo one work cause the sanyo chip is alot cheaper then pioneer.
