Samsung 61 inch DLP with dot in middle of screen

I have a Samsung 61 inch DLP (model HL61A750A1FXZA). A few months ago it was noticed that there were two small dots spinning in circles in opposite directions and about a month later they seemed to have formed into one larger dot that doesn't move. It appears to be in the middle of the screen.
Has anyone seen this type of behavior before or know what is happening? It is annoying!
