Samsung HL-R5078W DLP will not startup and makes frying noise

Need a little advice. Today I turned on my tv and it made a single loud pop and did not have a picture. A few seconds later it made an electrical frying noise and then quit. The electrical frying noise would repeat when it would try to start again. I unplugged the set, took off the cover, plugged the set up again and the frying noise is coming from the lamp when is trying to light up. The lamp also flickers light when trying to come on. I then replaced the cover and tried it again. The fan came but the lamp made the same frying noise as before. The lights on the front of the set is blinking lamp then standby comes on and then goes back to lamp blinking. When this first happened all lights were blinking, but after unpluging and pluging back up just the lamp light is blinking. Any help or suggestions would be apprecisted.
PS The whole light engine had to be replaced about a year ago under warranty.
