Samsung LCD TV Power Supply Identification	Can't Post

I wonder if any of you kind folks could help me in identifying the indicated parts in this photo, so that I can better report my current issue.

(My current issue being that said parts are scorched.)

Would need model # of TV , part # on board & item # of the parts 1 , 2 , 3 on the board Q ? , L ? as i am not sure exactly what u are indicating on the board that is scorched .

...and that's all I have for you. I'm inquiring to the generic names for those three parts, so that when I call Samsung or a repair service, I can be precise.

OK 3 looks to be a coil , not sure exactly what 1 & 2 are but i assume one of them is the transistor mounted on the heat sink . When u call the the service shop there gonna want to know what is the location # of the parts on the board are . Like #3 the coil is L#### . Most places ( mostly Samsung ) are gonna want to just sell you the board . So if you can get a service manual of the set it will give you a part # of the parts you are looking for . Then you can google the part & get them online . I see the board is available on Ebay for $55 .

Yeah, I downloaded the service manual and it has a parts list, but I couldn't really make heads-or-tails of it. (There isn't a corresponding diagram.)

Look on the PC board. Next to the compondnt in question, you should see a marking such as LXXX, QXXX, ICXXX etc. Then cross reference that number to the number in the parts list in the service manual to get the part number.

Cross-reference! I'll give it a shot. (If the numbers aren't burnt off, that is.)

Speaking of burnt, this is what I meant by "scorched parts":

(I guess they weren't kidding when they labeled it "HOT"!)

Is that Transistor or Diode that is burnt ? Does it have a Q or D label on the board ? The coil is probably good as when the part burnt out that could just be smoke residue on it . Did you try to goggle the phrase " BN44-00214A schematic " to see if there was one out there that would give you the part #'s for free . Sometimes they are out there .

To my untrained eye, it looks like the diode took the brunt of the damage.
