Since this forum was helpful to me I would like to share to following repair information for a Samsung LE40C630K1WXZG (just 3 years old) Problem: TV started with flickering lines after a few minutes power-up. Got worse after time till total picture loss. Solution: Applying heat to the T-CON indicating the switching power supply on the T-CON to be the problem. Found no obvious reason so I ordered a "new" one from Aliexpress. Since the description was not very clear it was a risk to get the right version (I think there are about at least 7 versions from this specific T-CON called 31T09-C0K T315HW04 V3 CTRL BD"). Of course I did NOT get the right version. To make it worse it had indications of manual soldering, two components were desoldered by someone before . Since the switching power supply looked ok I started to desolder and move the components to the old board, part by part. I turned out that the switching diode D202, situated in the bottom right corner inbetween 100uH coil L202 and main switching IC U201. Marked with "B340", so I guess it is a 3A 40V schottky. So after replacing about 5 components the problem was solved. Stable for some hours now.
