Samsung LN37B650 - Picture suddenly washed out

Can't Post

Hello! This is my first post in the forum. . . . I have an LN37B650 that has been working fine. However, yesterday morning I turned it on and found that the image is all washed out. My son said it looks like pictures on his phone when he manipulates them by selecting "invert colors". You can see an example for yourself here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNaFRuZxki0]. I have the back cover removed from the monitor and I don't see anything obvious. By "obvious" I mean that I don't see any apparent burning, melting, bloated capacitors or anything like that. Also, aside from the back cover, I haven't removed anything else, so perhaps I haven't dug deep enough yet (???). Anyway, if anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it. Do I need to dig deeper? Do I need a special tool/s to troubleshoot this one? Am I wasting my time because this is too time-consuming/difficult/expensive to fix? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
