Samsung LNT3253HX/XAA won't turn on Can't Post

The TV won't turn on. I suspect it's because of power surge? I unplugged TV, waited couple of minutes in hope it would reset may be, no luck. Plugging it in I see red light blinking and it flashes if I use remote, but no picture is shown.
I removed the cover and here are photos I took http://m.imgur.com/a/6h5nw I took. I think 9 and 10 are of interest, but not sure. Can anyone offer advice on how to proceed?

What makes you suspect power surge?
When you have a powe surge it's the power board that is shot and needs to be replaced. There is also a good chance the main board is also no good.
Are the fuses shorted on power board?

I don't know if it's power surge, but his power connections were pretty bad - no surge protector and thin extension cords.

I am not knowledgeable in TV electronics at all, would you mind guiding me where the fuses are and how would I test them?

Also the component pictured here http://i.imgur.com/U44gNWV.jpg, is it normal? Looks damaged to me.

Try and plug tv straight into a different wall plug.Turn on tv. See if that helps.
Next lets do a reset.Unplug tv from the wall plug, hold power button on tv for 60 seconds, then let tv sit for 10 minutes, plug in the tv and turn on. try that.
As for the pictures it looks like the mofet and the last picture of thermistor got pretty hot.If reset does not work then we need to do some voltage tests.
Is tv completely dead, as no power light at all, no click when turned on?

Thanks, I'll try your suggestions and will report back.

Looks like TV is not totally dead. I can hear a click when it's turned on and I see power light on the front pulsating with 5 seconds internal. When using remote to change volume or channels the light also blinks with each press of a button.

How many times does it flash?

Didn't count really, but the whole time I was trying things out (before I took the cover off), about five minutes, it would always flash.

Where the power cable attaches to the power board is where you will find the fuse.
You will need a multimeter or a digital meter to test.
I need to know exactly how many times it blinks, pauise then starts again or blinks continuouslly because this blinking is a repair code installed insiide tv.

Where the power cord connects to the power board is where the fuse is.It's ceramic, white 1/2 " long and snaps into fuse holder. It can be removed by lifting it straight up for testing continuity.Let me know if it is good or bad.

I see you still have 10 volt capacitors on your board. Anything on blinking code?

The photo I referenced above is not what my TV looks like, I just googled "samsung lcd tv power board" and that photo made more sense what gathered from your reply. Just wanted to make sure I understand what I am looking for.

I will take a look closer when I get home tonight, I am sure I will see it right away.
