Samsung TV screen goes black every few minutes. Audio stays.

Samsung TV mounted on wall goes black ever few minutes. Audio stays on as well as the backlight. If you turn the TV off and back on your good to go for another few minutes. All extension cord's and HDMI cords have been disconnected and bypassed. A factory reset and leaving unplugged for awhile also did not work. I removed the back plate and disconnected and reconnected everything, same issue.
With the backing plate removed and TV on I disconnected some cables and found out that if I disconnect the ribbon cable I can achieve the exact same effect of the screen going black with audio on.
Any ideas? I imagine I need to maybe replace the ribbon cable or one of the boards it connects to but not sure which... also, I imagine it could be a power board issue as well.
