Samsung TXN3298HF 32" wont turn on.

Unit is only around 5 years old, limited use. Went to turn it on recently and nothing. Left unplugged for a while, still nothing. Totally dead.
Anyone have any advice what I could possibly check on it? Not too much knowledge with electronics, so kinda in the dark what I should be looking for. On the fence about just dumping it, don't want to spend a few hundred on a service call to fix this thing.
If I could at least identify what the issue is, might make the decision easier.. And obviously if it was something easy enough to fix myself that would be nice :)
