Samsung UN46F6300AF, no picture but has sound (Replacing T-con fixed this issue)**	Can't Post

Hi guys, I need a bit of help.
My TV powers on.
Screen is blank. Tried the flashlight test, no image either.
It does have sound.
The backlight only comes on if I either disconnect the T-con or the main board from the power board.

What do I need to test to narrow this down ?

Unplugging either end of cable from Main to Power/LED Driver, backlight only IS normal.
Does it matter which end of the LVDS cable to the Tcon you unplug?

It seems if I disconnect the T-con side of the LVDS, the backlight comes on but if I move the cable(while it's still connected to the main board), sometimes the backlight turns off or dim.

I did try wiggling the LVDS while it was connected to both boards and nothing happens. Thought maybe it was a bad connection somewhere.

What I'm suggesting is that IF the Tcon board is defective then it would put up backlight if main board end of LVDS were disconnected OR the Tcon board end were disconnected OR BOTH ends were disconnected. It is possible the LVDS cable could be defective.

Does backlight light if only the main board end of the LVDS cable is unplugged? ___ Plug cable back in.
Does backlight light if only the Tcon board end of the LVDS cable is unplugged? ___ Plug cable back in.
Does backlight light if the LVDS cable is disconnected at BOTH ends at the same time? ___ Plug both ends of cable back in.

While at it inspect each end for damage.

It doesn't matter which side of the cable I disconnect.
The backlight turns on as soon as I disconnect either side.

im novice but if i had to guess i would say its a tcon issue

although faulty tcons are not as common as faulty main boards

so not sure .........but its a cheaper start...tcons are usually under 20.00 on ebay

So ordered a new t-con, popped it in and TV now works.
Hopefully this might help someone out in the future.
