Samsung lcd no power, no nothing! Can't Post

I have a Samsung LN32C450 built Apr 2010 that worked for about 18 months and then quit. No nothing, no sound, picture, power light, clicking or anything. Capacitors look good and fuse tests okay. Any ideas?

They don't build 'em like they used to. Be thankful it made it past warranty. Time to buy a new set. Laugh

Odds are yes but did you check the voltages going to the digital main from the power board ? Do you have the 12v or 5v or 3.3v ? Sometimes these voltages are marked on the power board . Without testing were just guessing .

Re: [board repairs] Samsung lcd no power, no nothing! [In reply to] Can't Post

The only voltages I got were out of pins 6 & 7. Voltage was 13.7. Other pins have nothing but I can't turn on the power so I'm not sure if they should have voltage present or not. I see some capacitors are marked 5v, 10v, 25v & 35v.

Thanks,
John

What is the board # ? No 5v ? Sounds like a bad power board .

BN44-00338B model P2632HD-ADY is the number I see on the board. The sticker would be CN07BN4400338BDC077210932

thanks!

Any suggestions on what to do? Since I have no power light, would it be the power board?

Thanks!

13.7 volts on 6 & 7? Of what? Connector ?CN802/CN803?

Raw B+ across CP801 cap?
A5V across CP854 cap?

Re: [jts1957] Samsung lcd no power, no nothing! [In reply to] Can't Post

The connector coming out of power board going to main board CN802 from (2) pins B5v on row 1 of the connector read 13.7vdc. cp854 reads 5.23v and cp801 reads 167.8v. all volts are dc.

Thanks

Is voltage changing at RB858 (100 ohm) each time you press the power button?

Where is the IP board? I looked at the 3 boards I can see. Viewing from the back of the set, 1 is under a shield on the far right side (high Voltage), another is in the middle right with capacitors on it (Power board?) and one is on the left side with all the A/V connections on it (Main board?). Am I missing something? What is the IP board?

I appreciate all the help I can get!!!!

Thanks,

YooperJ

The only thing I see with those numbers are capacitors staring with a CP. Is thee I/P board the one with the capicators and electrical cord plug on it?

My bad. Brain f*rt.

Just power supply. Inverter IS the thin long board on right.

Also see I forgot board/set schematics.

Put part location in search box in pdf.

Check the safety capacitors also (close to the mains supply [yellow rectangles]) they lose storage capacity over time but show no visible deterioration. De-solder and test capacity. I came across on once that had dropped from 470nf to 2nf.

Thanks for the schematics, I was able to find it on there but not on the actual board. I have to be missing something somewhere. Is it located on the Inverter board or the Power board in the middle of the set. The Power board list the actual part where the other 2 boards I see list a reference number.

I appreciate your help!

Thanks,
YooperJ

Do you think replacing the Power board will help?
