Samsung ps50a558s1f not turning on Can't Post
get the clicking from relays and voltage at PS-ON fluctuates from 1.01v to 6.34v no flickers from screen. clicking stops when the motherboard is disconnect but present when other boards disconnected so i am guessing motherboard or p/s faulty. no apparent cap faults any advice on what to check to narrow it down a bit

I tried the flow diagram and it points to the main board, got 5.3 volts at ps-on but no voltage at VS and VA but i am guessing that the tv needs to switch on for these voltages. do you suggest getting a replacement mainboard

Unplug CN803 plug. Is VS present (and correct) at Pin 1 or 2 of socket on the SMPS? Plug connector back in.
Unplug CN804 plug. Is VS present (and correct) at pin 1 or 2 of socket on the SMPS? Plug connector back in.
Unplug BOTH CN803 & CN804 plugs. Is VS present (and correct) at Pin 1 or 2 of EITHER socket on the SMPS? Plug connectors back in.

IF/WHEN present note voltage value. Report results.

"Check that the Va,Vs voltage of SMPS
match the voltages marked on the module
label."

We never even got to VA voltage ... Replace the SMPS.

Took SMPS out to replace and on inspection found a dry joint on one of the relays. Quick solder job and all up and running. Thanks for the advice.

A GOOD thorough visual inspection is ALWAYS step one.
