Samsung smart tv start up problems	Can't Post

Hi, I have had the above 46" tv for about 4 years and suddenly today it will only turn on to a scrambled screen of horizontal geen lines with the samsung smart logo behind. Then it turns straight off and retries this another 3 or so times with the same result and no sound
Please could anybody advise. If the repair is expensive I will just replace but wanted to know if I could fix by myself as I am quite handy.

Also according to Shop Jimmy: IMPORTANT: Horizontal lines ('geen' especially) on the screen are virtually NEVER caused by a bad T-con board. Horizontal lines indicate a defective LCD panel (screen).
