From post #16;....
Also , remove the HOT from the set....
Use a solder-wick to unsolder it....
If you dont have it , get it as you will need it in the future....
The HOT has one small screw at the top center holding it to the heat
sink with a small nut & washer....
Use a pair of needle nosed pliers to grab & hold the nut....
Re-check it using ohms....
Put one lead on the center pin to either one of the outside pins...
Take reading.....
Also , take a reading from the center HOT pin connection on the chassis to ground....
Post info....
At this point the HOT was outta the set & I expected a reading from the center HOT pin connection on the chassis to ground on the board !!!....
Then you did this in post #21;=>...
One quick thing i replaced the transistor and it turned on, and then off. I killed the other transistor it's something else.
Then you said this in post #23;=>...
The reading from the transistors middle pin to ground is 007 ohms..
Then you said this in post #26 ;=>....
Hey sorry i forgot to ask you do you want me to take the new HOT that is fried out?
Then I said this in post #30;=>...
Absolutely....
Then take a reading from the center pin on the board to chassis ground & post reading.....
At this point , I assume you had the HOT outta the set !!!!
I repeated my request in post #32....
In today's post you said;=>...
Then take a reading from the center pin on the board to chassis ground & post reading.....
I thought i already did that
Yes you did......
However , when I asked for that , the HOT was supposed to be outta the set with none in there....
Wanna try this again ???...
This time , nothing on the board where the HOT was....
I think i did hear a click but i'm not completely sure. Why? what would that mean?
I'll explain that later....Not a problem.....
Good Luck........
Later...Ron.M........
