Sceptre 48" Backlight Can't Remove LEDs from replacement strip

The blacklight when out on my 48" Sceptre TV. I took it apart and found 3 bad leds. The only way I could get leds was to buy strips that had the same part number as my old strip, but instead of 6 led per strip there were only 5. I decided to remove the bad leds and replace them with the good.
The problem is I can't get the replacement leds off the strip. I had no problem removing the bad leds with a heat gun, I tried my solder iron and a heat gun, but they will not come loose.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the leds from the replacement strip without damaging them?
