Sharp Aquos lc-70le650u Dark LCD W/ Darkness & Phantom Fading On One Side

Hi everyone, first post here. Hoping to isolate the problem with my Sharp Aquos lc-70le650u screen issues.
The screen is very dark on the right side and shows a fading/blurring effect where the image will fade over the period of a second while trying to display more imagery, which will in turn fade again over the period of a second.
I think it's the LCD itself, but I'm also entertaining the idea that it's a controller or backlight issue.
I'd very much like to have help in isolating the issue before I order parts.
