Sharp LCD unable to display 1080P anymore Can't Post

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-45GD4U 45" LCD Television which has a few problems I’m hoping someone can help me pinpoint. I’m sure one of the boards needs to be replaced, but I need an idea which one or ones. The set no longer handles 1080P from either HDMI, DVI or Component. The set either displays unrecognized signal or displays a duplicate image (left to right). The DVI connector can no longer display 1080i either, but HDMI and Component are able to display 1080i with one issue. The issue relates to switching the signal on the same input. For example, the cable company sends different resolutions depending on the channel. So when I change from a 720P digital channel to 1080i the screen is badly distorted. I can fix the issue by changing the input to an unused input and back to the original input. This occurs each and every time, but the problem doesn’t occur when going from 1080i down. Any idea would be greatly appreciated. I’ve already tried unplugging the unit overnight, resetting using the two buttons on the back and disconnecting all connections except for one to test with.

Chances are this is a software issue. I would not advise you to try changing boards as most times with these you have to upgrade software etc as well, so bite the bullet get Mr Sharp.
