Sharp lc-20sh3u does not turn on even though power supply board is changed	Can't Post

After two years of service our Sharp LCD tv decided to shut down all of a sudden. The red LED is on when the power chord is plugged in. When the POWER button on the remove is pressed the green LED comes on for a millisecond and then returns to RED. I was told by a technician that the power supply board has to be replaced and it would cost me the price of the new TV. I found the part on ebay (DUNTKD035WE) and replaced it. It did not fix the problem. Do you have any idea what the problem might be? I wonder whether the IR Receiver Assembly (DUNTKD3370WE) is the culprit. Any advise will be highly appreciated.

how do you know the used power supply is good? if it is good then there is a short circuit somewhere in the rest of the tv causing the power supply to shut down.it wont be the I/R receiver. My guess is you are back to the original scenario where it will cost more to fix than the tv is worth,very common on flat screen tv's. most of these tv's are throw away items now.
