Ok, ive got a 6 year old old Sony KV 29 F1 TV. Here is the problem, which has been getting progressively worse:
If the broadcast picture is in widescreen or anything that will show the thick black horizontal bar at the top and bottom of the screen, then the horizontal bar at the top slopes down on one side (from the centre to the far right). Obviously it should be an even bar from left to right but the effect is that at the right side of the screen the horizontal bar is about 1 to 2 inches thicker than the left, giving a kind of curved effect.
Had a look in the engineers test menu and messed around with the horizontal/vertical positions but i can't seem to solve the problem.
I hope the above makes some sense as tv repair ain't my game.
