Sony Bravia 32" LCD image problems..HELP! Can't Post
TV #1-I have a Sony Bravia 32" LCD model KDL-32S2000. Same result on all inputs, when powered on screen shows vertical colored lines, sound is good and menu will not come up however I can scroll through inputs. After a few minutes image will sometimes come on briefly and then back to colored lines.
TV#2-Sony Bravia 32" LCD model KDL-32M3000. Again all inputs act the same, any movement has a tracer effect behind it, its kind of hard to describe but its like the image is in slow motion. Also the screen is darker then normal and picture adjustments do not correct it. Any help would be appriciated I need to get these fixed ASAP.

tv#1, sounds like bad t-con or panel which on this model I believe you have to change the panel out, t-con not avail. as seperate part. but check out your LVDS signal levels first, You could have a bad LVDS cable or video board and checking the levels on the LVDS lines will confirm your problem.
tv#2 sounds like a bad BM board.

First of all thanks for your reply, I will look for a BM board for tv2. As for tv1, when you say I would have to change the "panel" out what panel are you talking about? Also how would I check the LVDS levels? Never messed with one of these before, thanks in advance for your help.

It sounded like you may have been a technican, if not it's not for you, you need a scope and schmatic to check the LVDS signals, and the panel is the LCD display panel itself, and if that is your problem and it's out of warranty it's very costly.

Just to verify, is the bm signal tuner board the same as a bm board?

OK thanks for the help, this is the KDL-32M3000, this is what I see when watching tv, everything is very blurry with movement. Does this look like a bad tuner board? Thought the pictures might help.

I'm having the exact same slow motion issue with my 32" Sony Bravia KDL-32M3000. It was working just fine yesterday morning, but when we turned it on last night the screen was darker than usual and had the super slow screen. If you find out what the cause is, please let me know!

what does the user menu look like when you bring it up? still looks like a bm board problem!

Did you ever get the image problems fixed with the slow motion and dark picture, was it your BM board? I'm dealing with the same issue on the same model set.

Found the issue with my set to be a combination of heat creep on the Tcon board which is the board connecting the LCD matrix to the BM Board, and a dirty connection, I used contact clearner on both connections as well as cleaning all connections on the BM-board. TV is is perfect working order now.
