Sony KD-55X9005B dark screen sections/ghosting Can't Post

Hi all,

My TV has gone wrong and I'm not sure with what. Before I start, I am tech minded so I am able to replace circuitboards/cables/wires myself.

The TV appears to have gone dark in some sections, and has a "phasing" image which looks like it could be "ghosting", but I'm not sure.

Either way, I cannot enjoy my TV anymore and I want to fix it. Please could anyone help by suggesting which board it could be? I don't have the ability to test the circuitboards myself as I don't have a multimeter or equipment to do so.

I have uploaded a video of the fault so you can better understand my problem:

Many thanks for any help, as I really need it

Best guess Tcon (cheaper) or panel (more expensive, if you can obtain).

In the case of Tcons, if I replace the board would it theoretically fix this issue? Also, what do you mean 'panel'? <br>

I have uploaded another clip of the TV, playing the video "You're Welcome": https://youtu.be/L_cO4BlLcW4

As you can see the very right edge seems to be fine but everything left of that has an issue which gradually gets worse to the left side. The bottom of the screen also has a zone which is fine but it is hard to see in this clip due to the aspect ratio of the video playing on the TV.

Tcon is the last replaceable board before the panel.
Panel is the viewscreen (TFT panel) backlight edge or matrix and panel driver board(s).

I ran some tests after watching a youtuber do a similar test with a different TV;
unplugging T-cons ribbon cables in different sequences and booting up each time to see what is displayed.
I have posted this exact same question on another forum board but this one doesn't allow me to upload photos it seems. Perhaps if I post the link to that forum here you may be able to view the last post/photos I have shared of the test I ran:

I'm not sure what this points to but I'm hoping its not a panel replacement.
