good morning troops,
i have a client with a Sony KDL-40EX40B . last night it went to blue screen. audio works but no image regardless of what input used. . this is a combo unit w/ built in DVD and it has no image on that side either. when i power the tv off and power it back on , it never sees the sony intro screen . just goes straight to blue screen. so.. this tv is only about 8 mos old but i am in a location where there is no warrantee service so i have to take a whack at fixing it. there are all manner of boards available on e bay bay if i had any idea what to buy. can anyone give me some insight into diagnostics or where i can get an online service manual ? I am not an electronics guy but i can run a meter and do the work if i had some direction.
