Sony KDL-40S4100 LCD TV - Blue bar down side of tv

I have a vertical blue bar going down the left side of my tv, and wondering if there is a simple fix which I can perform on my own. It sometimes disappears, but always reappears and remains on screen for a long time. (Picture available here: http://imgur.com/a/mMB8a )
I saw a video on youtube, and am not sure what I need to replace since I have never worked on tv's before. Do I need a new Sony 1-857-092-11 A Board (Main Board)? Please advise.
