Sony KV-27S36 picture/sound problems Can't Post

My sony KV-27S36 tv recently lost picture. When i would turn the tv on i would see picture for about 5 seconds then it would go black. I ended up opening the TV and fiddled with some wires and now i have perfect picture but no sound. So now i know that there must be a loose wire or something, I am A+ certified but never really had the chance to open a crt monitor or TV before so im not familar with it. Could someone please tell me what can i do to get both the picture and sound operational. Thx.

You probably just unplugged the speaker wires from the chassis. I believe that on that model, they are plugged into CN461 which is towards the middle front part of the board. The video blanking is usually corrected by turning up the screen voltage slightly. The video blanking is usualy caused by a weakening picture tube, therefore, you might want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
