Sony KV-32TS36 intermittent picture

I have a Sony KV-32TS36 that has a weird problem. When I turn it on the tv takes about 5 mins for the picture to come on but the sound is on from the get go.Once the picture comes on it goes away at random but not for more than 20 seconds. The weird thing is that it doesn't happend with the Playstation only with the tuner or the VCR with both the rf input and the composite video in(all 3 of them). I haven't tried the S-video inputs. And when you turn it on the standby light will flash on an off for about 2 to 4 minutes and about 20 secs after it stops the picture will come on. Also the stereo light never turns on. any help will be really appreciated.
