Sony KV-35S26 flashing pic, please help!

I have a Sony KV-35S26 thats about 8yrs old. When you power it on it'll will go into standby for about 10sec (sound is there)then goes to a flashing pic (pic on, pic off, pic on, pic off, etc.) And it will do this no matter what you have it on, Vid1,2 or the tuner.
Know just to clarify its not powering on and off, its just the pic flashing on and off and the sound doesn't flash off with the pic..
