Sony KV1926RA Can't Post

This Trinitron has a collapsed picture, just a horizontal band Started out intermittent, now permanent. I would like to repair if simple parts replacement, any ideas? Thanks.

Look for bad solder joints around the vertical section.

I did just that, found bad solder joint at transistor Q503. Resoldered it, now picture is almost full screen and steady. There is about a 2" black band at the bottom, and the lower part of the picture is compressed with an appearance of scrolling at the very bottom edge. Thank you for any more ideas you might have.

The foldover is caused by bad electrlytic capacitors in the vertical circuit. You can go to www.samswebsite.com and download Photofact no. 2550-2 for $20 and the troubleshooting guide will tell you which ones th change.
