Sony KV27V55 Can't Post

Hello,

My mom has a KV27V55 (if I remember right - it has been a few weeks since I looked at it so my numbers might be slightly off). I think it was made in '93.

It was was working fine, then just stopped.

I checked the fuse and it was OK.

I then followed the traces and was reading 120Vac until the caps and then it switched to 180Vdc (I think)

I read the "Sony trinitron no power" thread which says even thought it doesn't click it probably isn't the relay (...bad power regulator, a several broken/bad solder joints on the transformer caused by the constant heating and cooling, and a couple of resistors).

Can anyone give some specific advice on this model regarding the component details/location so I can find the problem quicker? I usually work on small/lower power boards so tv is new territory for me.

Thanks in advance!
