Sony NSX32GT1 No Power at all Can't Post

I am new to TV repair but I think I've done enough research in the past few days to have some basic knowledge of whats going on but wanted to confirm with more experienced people...
The TV has no standby light, does nothing when plugged in or power button is pressed, no noises, nothing.
I started by checking my power cord I have voltage at the cord outlet to the tv, I have voltage on the board side of the power connector, the fuse is good, i have 3.3 V on the standby prong of the power board main connector which I've read is a pretty good sign that the power board is OK. Is this incorrect? Could it still read 3.3v and have a bad resistor or something? Tried checking all resistors that have a visible ohm value written on them and what I have checked has been good so far (not all have a value on them)
The main board is just as expensive nearly as a new television but I like this TV's operating system and dont want to get rid of it.

Anything else I can check to try to isolate this issue?

Yes other things could fail on PS board.

What is POWER_ON pin doing when you try to start TV?

1,000 ohm resistor - touch between 3.3V and POWER_ON pins.

Apply the existing 3.3V using a 1,000 ohm resistor to the POWER_ON pin and see if any reaction (Front apron LED turns on, Magic Smoke is released, etc.).

Using 1500 ohm resistor on power on and standby pin's no reaction, no apron lights or smoke

I've seen those before yes what do you think the next step would be buying one of those repair kits?

It's your set, money & decision.

Both are same kit number and have 'Dead Set' listed.
Strange that one has 5 parts and other 18.
