Thanks ron for getting me in the right place with my post.sounds like a problem with 5volts.. & How did you come to the conclusion that you have a 5 volt problem ????... &the 5volts come from service manual that you give me link too. WHERE exactly & on what page do you mean ????
& then where would be a good place to check for the 5+volts if that is what the three blinks say?
The 3 blinks do NOT refer to the 5 vdc in any way....
The 3 blink code is;=>....
Blinking 3 times means that (According to page 8 in the manual) you have Low B+ Overvoltage...(Reads like an oxymoron !!!)...
That IC6505 is faulty...(D board)
I don't know why you are hung up on that 5 volt thing....
You can check IC6505 , but , based on that arcing situation , I doubt that it's at fault.... ...
I seriously doubt that replacing both ICs again would work.........
But , then again , they said "No new taxes"...So , who knows.... ....
