Sony rear projection-venetian blinds (line paring?) Can't Post

Hey all. This is the first projection TV I've worked on and I did a search but didn't find an answer directly related to my problem. It is a Model KP 46S25 Sony (Nov 96) and has good sound. OSD can be seen but is distorted as well as image from TAPE, ANT, or DVD player. It looks like line paring but not positive on that. There is no apparent pincusion except for a very slight arch at very bottom of screen. Colors look good but there is a "venetian blind" effect ocurring and I'm not sure where to start. I have no manual or remote for this unit, so am not sure how to calibrate the convergence. Any insight would be much appreciated! As a side note, I cleaned the thick dust off each tube and the mirror. Now I can see the "blinds" clearer! :) The individual I got the TV from said he had a shop look at it some years ago and they wanted to charge $400 bucks for a replacement board (he doesn't remember which it was).

Alex
