Sony tv repair - flyback replaced Can't Post

Sony 35 - bought in 96
Replaced Q601-Q602 - R607 from power supply and
Q502. Worked OK for a week, and killed the same components again.
Replaced all of these again and replaced the flyback ( used 16 dollar part)
Now it works a minute or two and switches off the video.
Turn off, on again and does the same.
Put the old flayback. Started working for a whole day and then it switches the video off the same way (sound is ok)
Should I pay 150 dollars and get an original SONY flyback ??

This sounds more like IK shutdown than a bad flyback. IK shutdown is caused by an aging CRT and can sometimes be corrected by turning up the screen voltage. Just turn it up until retrace lines appear and then back it off until they disappear. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/?r=10948674 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
