Static/fuzzy/snowy coaxial image with SANYO DS27800 27" TV

I purchased a used SANYO DS27800 television a few weeks ago. It's a fine tv, aside from the fact that it produces a snowy image when watching cable tv. This problem is not reproduced in devices connected through the A/V inputs on the tv (i.e., xbox, dvd player). Moreover, this was not seen in the television that it replaced. Additionally, the coaxial connection to the tv has been ruled out as being the source of the problem by the reproduction of the snowy image when the tv has been connected to other coaxial outlets throughout my house. Any advice or or hypotheses on what's causing this would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
