Sylvania 13" TV/VCR AC/DC power problem

Has anyone experienced a power problem with a Sylvania !3" AC/DC TV/VCR? It works fine on AC current but powers off, even on TV only, when I tried to use the DC current in my RV. It does the same thing when I plug it into my vehicle DC plug. Sears repair service replaced the DC adapter but it still does the same thing. Initially, the problem happened periodically when we used the VCR but it has progressed to powering off even if watching the TV only. Any ideas?
